Imagine you have a neighbor. Once you lived together, but you left, and when you returned, it was not such a good relationship. Suppose you are both angry people, that you both shout and make noise, lock doors, your children fight.
Imagine you organize all the others who live with you to make this person live just in a room, and then soon just in a box. A narrow space, a closet perhaps. He must put all his things there, he must get permission from many to leave it, to go to his job, to bathe, all of this.
Do you think perhaps she would get angry? Do you think some day she might go crazy? Do you think that perhaps no matter what she's done, some day you must let her out, you must find a way to shake her hand?
Perhaps you do not. Perhaps then they strike out at you. Shouting again. Throwing books, food, worse from their tiny corner.
And then you shoot at his daughter.

Sometimes one must wonder if they can't see you back through the television. | | Wednesday, November 26th, 2008 | | 2:26 pm |
Some of you have noticed me. I wish to tell you about myself and save you from making terrible mistakes.
First, I do not acknowledge your ordinary human names. I have given myself the name of Mystique, and to that and only that will I answer.
And I know that you may well call. I am very aware that I am very attractive, that many will see me and want to speak to me, perhaps even possess me. Many have asked these favors of me. I grant them to none. I do not have 'friends' among the humans. It is not my way.
Next, I am not a he nor a she, but I am not an it. Do not insult me. I am not a kind creature. I will take cruelty to mind and repay it tenfold.
I tolerate much but forgive little.

Third Person Closed When ze got to hir room, ze stretched out on the bed and had a cigarette.
The bed. That'll be new.
Ze had books, had clothes, had a bed, it was decent. Nothing as flashy as ze was used to in hir better times, but it was constant. Ze wasn't always a fan of constant, but ze'd put up with it for now. At least until ze got settled in hir new country.
Ze stretched and put on a suitjacket -- no shirt -- over hir trousers and left hir shoes under the bed. Time to wander, see what ze can see. Maybe learn a few new faces. | | Friday, November 21st, 2008 | | 2:42 pm |
